About
Seventeen years in one forest
We started as a landscaping company. The fire work came later, because our clients started getting letters.
Why we photograph everything
Around 2018 our clients started forwarding us letters from their insurance carriers. Some were non-renewals, some were inspection photos with circles drawn on them, and almost all of them landed on people who had no idea what was being asked.
What we learned quickly is that doing the work is only half of it. A carrier does not take your word, and re-inspections are slow and not always available. So we started photographing every zone before and after, listing the work against the requirement it satisfies, and handing the client a packet. It turned a months-long back and forth into an email.
We still do the ordinary work. Patios, planting, irrigation, cleanups. But the reason people call us first is usually a letter, and the reason they stay is that we come back twice a year so the problem never rebuilds itself.

What we run on
Priced by zone
Zone 0, 1, and 2 quoted separately, so you can do the part that saves the policy now and the rest when it suits you.
It has to still look like a yard
Compliance and a moonscape are not the same thing. Spacing and limbing up, done properly, improve how a property looks.
Photographed, zone by zone, for your insurer
Every defensible space job gets photographed before and after in each zone, with the work listed against the requirement it satisfies. You get that packet as a PDF. When your carrier asks for proof, you send it instead of scheduling another inspection.
Working in Truckee, Tahoe Donner, Glenshire, Martis Camp, Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Incline Village, and Northstar.
Start with a free property walk
We walk it with you, mark what has to go and what can stay, and send a written zone-by-zone assessment in two business days. Free, whether or not you hire us.
