Mockups before commitment on anything visible
For visible stonework we set a small sample of the actual material against the house and look at it in daylight before ordering the pallet. Granite that looked right in a yard rarely looks the same on a north elevation at six thousand feet, and correcting it after installation costs more than the mockup ever will.
